Winter Running
1. I'm Thankful for beautiful places to run--I set a Personal Record for a 1 mile run last week. After the run I took some pictures of where I had the privilege to run. It was on the campus of an agriculture University with beautiful mountains in the background.
2. Thankful for the Winter Weather--When I ran this morning it was only 84 degrees F. Today it is supposed to get to 97 degrees. And. It. Is. Winter! If I were trying to get adjusted to life and running here in the summer.? I ran 4 miles this morning and when I got back to the house I was so covered in sweat it looked like I had been swimming. Even after I showered I was still dripping sweat so much that I had to towel off the sweat.
3. Thankful for Rest--Today is Saturday. We are going to a barbecue at 4pm but until then we have no obligations. (And how wonderful to have going-to-a-barbecue as an obligation).
At lunch we ate at a food court that is only about a half mile away. I had coconut water to drink. I brought the plastic cup with ice back with me to the house. There were still bits of coconut in the cup. I made an espresso with my aero press. I used Tesco Colombian Supremo coffee, ground it in a grinder I've borrowed from Jerry (the grinder broke 2 days ago so I super-glued the broken piece back together and it is working), and then followed a process for making an espresso-ish coffee. I poured the coffee into the cup with the ice and bits of coconut. WOW! It turned out really really good. อร่อยมาก (delicious, very)
