A drive in the Mountains: Some Pictures

At the start of last week we had a chance to drive into the mountains on the edge of the city.  The National Parks are still closed so we did not get to walk around on the trails.  Even the little village we wanted to visit was completely closed to non-locals.  We did enjoy the drive and the chance to be up in the pine forest and, with the clean air, be able to have some great views of the city below.  Here are a few of the pictures.  Did you realize there are mountains and pine trees high in them here? Right after we saw that lizard we saw a dead Green Keelback snake on the road Sometimes it looks like fall--even though it's May and 100 degrees Beneath the Pine trees at 5,000 feet elevation Taking a minute to tie shoes before our walk Coffee Trees Turmeric flowers
